PM Modi announced to introduce the first law in the new Parliament building. The government has named the Women’s Reservation Bill as Nari Shakti Vandan Act. There is a proposal of 33% reservation for women in Lok Sabha and Assembly. With the enactment of the law, 181 seats will now be reserved for women in the Lok Sabha. Under the proposal, the duration of the Women’s Reservation Act is currently kept at 15 years. At present the total seats in the Lok Sabha are 543, out of which the number of current women MPs is 78. After the bill is passed, the minimum number of women MPs in the Lok Sabha will be 181.पीएम मोदी ने नए संसद भवन में पहले कानून को पेश करने का ऐलान किया. सरकार ने महिला आरक्षण बिल को नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम नाम दिया है. महिलाओं के लिए लोकसभा और विधानसभा में 33% आरक्षण का प्रस्ताव है. कानून बनने से लोकसभा में अब महिलाओं के लिए 181 सीटें आरक्षित होंगी. प्रस्ताव के तहत महिला आरक्षण कानून की अवधि फिलहाल 15 साल रखी है. फिलहाल लोकसभा में कुल सीट 543 है इसमें मौजूदा महिला सांसदों की संख्या 78 है. विधेयक पास होने के बाद लोकसभा में कम से कम महिला सांसदों की संख्या 181 होगी
